Tri-Cities Fire Fighters Honor Commitment To The Big Climb!

Every year around 5,000 civilians and first responders attempt The Big Climb up 69 flights of stairs to the top of The Columbia Center in downtown Seattle. We do it to raise money for the Annual Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The Big Climb was postponed this year due to the coronavirus outbreak BUT that didn’t stop some firefighters.

The Richland Fire and Emergency Services Facebook Page posted that, “The climb, and the cause, is extremely important to us."And the Fire fighters from the Tri-Cities wanted to honor their commitment to the climb.

Can’t let all that training and fundraising go to waste – so Fire Fighters from Richland, Pasco and Kennewick grabbed their gear Sunday and climbed Badger Mountain.

They say it might not have been 69 flights of stairs but it was challenging. And their Facebook post said, "A huge THANK YOU to everyone around the community that has supported us during our fundraising and training for the climb. Your donations are helping to find cures for all blood cancers!"
