Inslee Announces Ban on Events of 250 or more people around Seattle

Okay…. This is getting ridiculous!

Earlier today Governor Jay Inslee announced a ban on gatherings and events of more than 250 people to stop the spread of the COVID-19 (aka coronavirus) outbreak around Washington State.

This includes, sporting events, parties, spiritual gathering, social and family gathering, parades, concerts, conventions, fundraisers, festivals… literally any group gathering of 250 or more are not allowed!

The ban covers King, Snohomish and Pierce Counties and goes till the end of March however Inslee said "it is very highly likely" it will be extended.

"These are not easy decisions," Inslee said. "The decisions we are making today and in the coming days are going to be profoundly disturbing, but I believe they are the right ones, the necessary ones, based on how we feel about our loved ones, based on science, based on how we're going to work together." - Governor Jay Inslee
