SEATTLE: Black Girls CODE Seattle: Build a Mobile App in a Day Workshop

Where was this when I was growing up!

I’ve been sluffing on letting you all know about the different community events, but when I ran across this one I knew I had to share!

On Saturday October 5th Black Girls CODE is hosting a one-day mobile app development workshop with MIT AppInventor here In Seattle! Get details on this supper dope event below.

Black Girls CODE is bringing our exciting one-day mobile app development workshop with MIT AppInventor to the Seattle area on Saturday, October 5th! AppInventor is a fun and simple tool that allows our tech divas to create their own mobile apps using drag-and-drop programming blocks that are similar to a puzzle to make the user interface and program. It's that easy. You can learn how to write music apps, apps that tell your fortune, and more. Never wonder again if there’s an app for "that" because you’ll be able to create your own!

All BGC events are geared towards introducing participants to the technological universe and encouraging them to pursue careers as Tech Creators and Entrepreneurs.

This event is intended for girls ages 7-17. No prior computing experience is necessary.

Check-in begins at 9:00 AM.

The event starts promptly at 10:00 AM. Participants do not need to bring their laptops. Lunch will be provided.

Shoutout to all the techy girls like myself out there! At the end of the day, technology is the future no matter how much people say we don’t need it. If you have daughters that want to learn about building apps this is the perfect way to get her started!
