Cannabis Candy to Stay Legal, But Not Bright in Colors

I just love my state!

Although I’m not an edible kind of girl and strictly stick to pre-rolls and vape pens, I’m happy to say the state of Washington will not ban pot-infused hard candy, tarts, fruit chews, colorful chocolates, jellies, and gummies. However there will be a regulation on allowed colors and shapes:

"There will be more clarity on what is allowed in terms of shapes and colors, but no particular product or type of product will be banned, as it was previously stated," said Vicki Christophersen, the executive director of the Washington CannaBusiness Association (WACA).

This comes two months after the state's Liquor and Cannabis Board (LCB) unexpectedly announced that they would move to quickly ban pot-infused hard candy, tarts, fruit chews, colorful chocolates, jellies, and gummies. WACA joined with the state's two other major trade groups to oppose the state's action, calling the unanticipated ban on products the state had previously approved as "arbitrary and sudden." – The Stranger

Don’t get me wrong, cute colors and shapes are great but that’s not the real reason people buy those. Now if this color regulation alters the flavors, then we may have a slight annoyance on our hands. But let’s be honest, people will still buy the edibles whether they come in dark or lime green.
