Mac Miller's long-awaited, unreleased album may finally see the light of day.

Fans who were waiting for The Alchemist & Friends' set at Camp Flog Gnaw in Los Angeles on Saturday night, November 16, were blessed with a trailer that teased Mac Miller's upcoming Balloonerism album. According to Variety, the trailer features snippets of songs like “The Song That Changed Everything,” which reportedly features SZA, and “5 Dollar Pony Rides/” At the end of the trailer, the word "soon" appeared right before the album's cover was revealed. The cover is a painting of the late rapper made by artist Alim Smith.

Balloonerism has been a topic of discussion among Macheads for years. He reportedly recorded the album with help from Thundercat before he dropped his 2014 mixtape Faces. The completed project was never released, especially after Miller passed away six years ago. However, songs that fans believe appear on the original version of the project have leaked online. Back in 2020, Miller's tracks “Do You Have a Destination" and “Uber” surfaced on forums and social media. Despite all the leaks, the plans to release the official version of Balloonerism remained under wraps up until now.

Mac Miller died of an accidental drug overdose in 2018 shortly after he dropped his Swimming album. Less than two years later, his estate released his first posthumous album Circles. The project contains 12 tracks and was released as a companion piece to his final LP. As of this report, it's not clear when Miller's next body of work will arrive.
