If you've been noticing certain shows on Netflix having a lock logo on them it's not because you have to pay more to watch them, but it's because Netflix is starting it's "patch" program to incentivize users to binge-watch more content!
Most of the patches are on kid’s shows for right now and the goal is that you will get a digital patch for every season of a show or complete series you complete! Shows like Fuller House, A Series of Unfortunate Events, and Skylanders Academy are some of the shows that have this option.
Netflix says they patches are in a trial program and that it might not stick around, but I could totally see some kids having a digital sash of all the shows they watch! How many patches can I get for watching The Office for the fifth time??
