Seattle: Black Health and Wealth Fair

As, usual I'm always trying to share what's happening around the city. This weekend there is a Black Health and Wealth Festival happening at Jefferson Park. Get all the details below:

Join us for the Black Health and Wealth Festival on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Jefferson Park. This event is to empower, educate, amplify and invest in black people, black businesses and black communities. The Black community has continued to go without adequate resources in education, healthcare, employment, and housing. Systemic racism has contributed to the persistence of race-based gaps that manifest in many different economic indicators. The starkest divides are in measures of household wealth, reflecting centuries of white privilege that have made it particularly difficult for people of color to achieve economic security.

Our mission is to help provide informed care through networking, resource allocation, amplifying wellness and supporting basic needs. We’re hoping to connect individuals and families with resources like job referrals, housing, healthcare services, food and transportation vouchers etc.

As we take time to build our community and give the community the resources we need. Free food from local chefs, discounted gym memberships and Orca cards. Resources for people trying to pay rent and their utilities. Also, people having disputes can participate in Healing Circles that professionals are leading. Plus, Wellness Connections, Job Training, and Jobs will be present.
