Erick Minto, 49, entered a convenient store late Tuesday night asking for "free food". When Minto was denied by the clerk, he pulled out his knife and said "don't make me do something stupid for a Snickers bar".
When the county sheriff's questioned Minto, he admitted opening a the knife, but denied threatening the clerk. Minto reportedly said that he was "attempting to trade the knife for a Snickers bar".
Minto was arrested for armed robbery and booked into the county jail, where he is locked up in lieu of $10,000 bond on the felony count.
