This Fashion Show Let's Kids With Down Syndrome Strut Their Stuff!

Young models hit the catwalk to strut their stuff in New York City recently, but this wasn’t part of Fashion Week. These models were showing off fashion for the second annual “Gigi’s Playhouse Fashion Show,” where people with Down syndrome are the models.

Gigi's Playhouse is a national education and achievement center that focuses on preparing young people with Down syndrome “to engage more fully in their homes, schools, and communities.” According to Eileen, the director of the fashion show, this event was all about letting the members be advocates for the center. And according to the models, they all had a fabulous time.

One of the models named Laura who is 16 explained why she loved being a model in this event! Go to 1:41 on the video posted above to see what she had to say!

This story just makes you feel good because you can tell these kids feel good! I love it so much!
