Actor/comedian Marlon Wayans unfortunately received some backlash for wishing his 19 year old daughter a happy pride month. He took to instagram to post a picture of her and say “happy pride to my pride and joy. I wouldn’t change one effing thing about you. Love you to the moon around the sun through the galaxies and back again.” Over 100,000 likes on the post but as you can imagine, lots of negativity. “shes not old enough to understand what thats really all about. You have the power to change lives bro. Don’t teach her that.” To which Marlon wayans actually responded “she’s 19. She’s who she is until or until she don’t choose different. Love her for her not what I want her to be.” Killing them with kindness and of course lots of positive comments too also from other celebs so him & his daughter seem to have a ton of support.
