Dashcam Footage Of Seattle Crane Falling

Tragedy over the weekend on Saturday afternoon a construction crane came crashing down from on top of the new Google Seattle campus, pinning six cars underneath near Mercer St. and Fairview Avenue. 4 people lost their lives..One female, a Seattle pacific university freshman, and 3 other males, 2 of with were crane operators. 4 others were injured while inside their cars..a 25 year old mother and her 4 month old baby, and a 28 year old man..they were taken to harborview medical center and are recovering well the mother and baby were discharged Saturday night. The 4th person was treated at the scene. It’s being reported that the crane was being dismantled and heavy winds were moving through the area..but investigators are continuing to look into what exactly caused the crane to collapse which I’m seeing could take months to find out. That area of Mercer was closed all weekend as crews worked to repair damage to the road but they did open everything back up this morning for the early Monday commute. Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan said “its a horrible day in Seattle when something like this happens. But it’s a time when we come together because Seattle is a city that rallies around each other.”
