Los Angeles Cements Nipsey Hussle's Legacy With Full Basketball Court

The city of Los Angeles continued to pay respect to Nipsey Hussle on Sunday as a basketball court was painted with his image and the phrase, “The highest human act is to inspire.” The Crete Academy charter school donated their basketball court as a special memorial, the day was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a family fun day. The school is blocks away from Nipsey’s Marathon store, Hattie Mitchell, the school’s principal says that Hussle was more than a rapper to her students. “For us, it represents hope, aspiration leadership community development entrepreneurship generosity, all of the things that I feel like Black people were told were not [a part of] in society,” said Mitchell.
