Dad Turns Board Games Into Bed Sheets For Sick Kids Lying In Hospitals

Kevin Gatlin from North Carolina one day went to go visit his friend’s hospitalized child several years ago and was completely heart broken to see his friends kid, and all the other kids, confined to hospital rooms and beds with absolutely nothing to do but sit in a white room for hours at a time. He thought about how him and his wife always played games on his sons bed in order to help him fall asleep..so Kevin spent the next two years creating Playtime Adventures, an interactive set of bed sheets that feature dozens of games and lessons for kids who are pretty much confined to their hospital beds. He also worked with several school teachers to make sure the games were educational. He said “we put together bedsheets and sleeping bags that cover everything from geography, math, science, grammar, word find games..all on a three piece set.” As of today, Kevin so far has his sheets being used in 10 different hospitals across the country, but since his customers are also able to donate bedsheets to their own local hospitals, that number could very well be much higher. He hopes that soon his interactive bed sheets will make its way into hospitals all around the world!
