11 Year Old Flint Activist Collecting Coats For #FlintKids This Winter

An 11 year old girl in Flint, Michigan named Mari Copeny is out here making a difference! She’s an activist, an advocate for flint kids, a philanthropist and future president as she says :). For almost 3 years she’s been partnering with the nonprofit pack your back and they do SO MUCH for the community..they brought free backpacks and school supplies to 1,000 Flint kids last year and this year they reached 15,000 area kids. last Christmas they created a winter wonderland for flint kids with holiday themed games & activities and a TOY ROOM where kids could go and pick out their own toys for Christmas. They raised $71,000 dollars to provide 700,000 clean bottled water to flint residents they helped over 2,000 families! They do A LOT and little Mari is very passionate about making a difference and puts her all into helping these kids in her community. She currently has been working hard to receive coat donations for flint kids as she’s said there are kids literally with no coats or gloves or anything. They sit at the bus stop waiting to go to school FREEZING & I can only imagine how brutal Michigan winters can be. Mari has been receiving hundreds of coats in donations in both kids and adult sizes, gloves, snow pants, everything and she’s actually still taking donations for #flintkids.
