Seattle Area Girl Raised Money To Build Water Wells In Ghana!

A little girl here in Bellevue, Josie Droz, decided a few years ago when she was 8 years old that she wanted to make a little money so she started a lemonade stand and though instead of spending the money on herself, she wanted to donate it to a good cause. After doing some research with her parents, she found a local nonprofit that helps bring clean drinking water to the people of Ghana by building wells! She learned about the girls in Ghana that are her age, who can't go to school because they spend their days getting clean water for their families and she knew she wanted to help. Josie found out to build one well would cost $10,000 and instead of being intimidated she was determined to meet her goal. She raised money through her campaign called Josie's Well. It's now been 3 years since her lemonade stand, and she said she's raised enough money now to build probably about 10 wells!
