Cardi B and More Respond To Jermaine Dupri's "Strippers Rapping" Comment

Jermain Dupri is catching heat right now after comparing today's female rappers to "strippers" in an interview with People. Dupri was asked about his favorite rapper today, and responded saying:

“I don’t think they’re showing us who’s the best rapper. For me, it’s like strippers rapping…I’m getting a story about you dancing in the club, I’m getting a story about you dancing in the club—who’s gonna be the rapper?” Dupri went on to say someone will eventually break the mold.

Almost immediatly the video went viral with numerous fans calling out Dupri for his comments about female rappers.

Shortly after Cardi B & Doja Cat took to Instagram to respond to Durpi's comments listing numerous female rappers whom do not rap about sex or fit the "stripper" stereotype. Both rappers began listing female rappers whom are popular because of their music and bars for example, Young M.A., Kamaiyah, etc.

Dupri then took to Instagran live to respond to the backlash stating he doesn't feel like he said anything wrong. He went on to clarify his statement by saying he was talking about "duplication" and female artist presenting the same type of lyrics and style. He then agree's with Cardi B saying media needs to promote the non-sexual content rappers more. Check it out below and let me know what you think!
