On the day Keak Da Sneak was supposed to turn himself in to complete his 16-month prison sentence, the judge has delayed his sentencing for 60 days so that he can continue his medical treatment.
This is great news for the Bay Area rap legend. Kead Da Sneak sentencing was met with outrage last week because of the concern over Keak's health possibly deteriorating in jail due to the lack in health car. Keak da Sneak was partially paralyzed after being shot in January 2017. He is now fighting to one day walk again and requires multiple health care visits per week.
Because of the severity of his condition, Keak Da Sneak has been lobbying for an alternative sentence like house arrest. He now has another 60 days to try to make this happen.
Keak celebrated the news with a message to fans on Instagram writing:
New update. They gave me 60 days to try and improve my health then turn myself in. I want to thank everyone for making some noise and signing the petition it made a big difference!! #keakdasneak #oakland #sacramento #keepkeakfree #cut50
Either way, Keak's petition got over 40,000 signatures! You can sign his petition here !
