According to Billboad, a fan has filed a lawsuit against Kanye West basically because he feels Kanye "lured" him, and many other fans, into signing up for Tidal by saying that his, then, new album "The Life Of Pablo" would be a Tidal EXCLUSIVE, and not available any where else, EVER. Fans were under the impression that Tidal would be the only outlet available to hear the album, when in fact, it was later released on other platforms.
Last year Justin Baker-Rhett filed the class action in a U.S. District Court in San Francisco and referenced to tweets from Kanye to support his claim. One of those tweets read, "My album will never never be on Apple. And it will never be for sale... You can only get it on Tidal.”
Ye has fired back with claims that he did nothing wrong, stating that after releasing "Pablo" on Tidal, numerous changes have been made to the album and the other versions that are now available on competing streaming services are different. He continued that the ORIGINAL "Pablo" has been ONLY available on Tidal.
So technically...he didn't lie..and he wants the lawsuit dismissed lol
