Beyonce Serves As Inspiration Behind New Marvel Comic Series Artwork

posted by Lizette Love -

Beyoncé's staple wardrobe is the inspiration behind the artwork for issue two of Marvel's new comic series,"America," which is set to hit stores in April.

On Wednesday (January 25), artist Joe Quinones revealed the cover for the issue of "America" and it depicts the heroine America Chavez rocking some similar fashion and attitude as the pop titan does during her "Formation" music video.  However, unlike Bey's all-black ensemble, Chavez's get-up is full of patriotism. See the artwork below!

To give you a little backstory on Chavez, she's a kickass Latin-American queer teenager who can move through other dimensions and was first introduced to the world in 2011 in the limited series "Vengeance" as the second ever Miss America. She had a number of appearances since then and is now stepping up to the forefront for her own series written by Gabby Rivera.
