Starbucks coffee is delicious however it is definitely not cheap however now when you grab your morning cup of $8 coffee you will have a better feeling knowing that your barista is going to get a piece of that pie. Starbucks has announced that they will be increasing their minimum wage from the current $12 per hour to $15 an hour by summer 2022. According to a press release from the coffee giant, "Our wage increase from Dec. 2020 to the Summer of 2022 will mean at least a 17% increase for partners, and at least 20% for tenured partners, in two years".
This is awesome, it is always nice to see employees getting more of what they deserve, especially from a company as large as Starbucks.
