Brandon Ingram Undergoes Successful Surgery for Blood Clots

The road to Brandon Ingram’s return to the court looks clearer after the Lakers forward had successful surgery to address a potentially serious blood clot.

The Lakers announced the news Saturday morning, with Dr. Hugh Gelabert perfoming the thoracic outlet decompression surgery on the 21-year-old’s right arm at UCLA Medical Center.

While the surgery will require a healing period of several months, during which Ingram won’t be able to play, the Lakers said they expect Ingram will make a full recovery by next season.
