Everything to Know About Pusha T's Album 'DAYTONA'

Pusha T's album is coming into existence a lot sooner than any of us expected. DAYTONA is slated to release this Friday (May 25) and will feature only Rick Ross and Kanye West. And we're okay with that.

The 7-track project was rumored to be titled 'King Push' for years, however Kanye's G.O.O.D. Music labelmate felt that the aforementioned title did not represent him fully:

“I felt it didn’t represent the overall message of this body of work,” he wrote. “DAYTONA represents the fact that I have the luxury of time. That luxury only comes when u have a skill set that your confident in.” He added, “This album is for my family... high taste level, luxury, drug raps fans. Literally this is nothing more than the outcome of our musical therapy sessions.”

This was actually the third go-around for the opus. Pusha T revealed that he and Yeezy sought out perfection for this project.

“[Kanye] come in and pick all the beats and shit and then he’d scrap them and say, ‘I can do better.’ These past two months we’ve just been locking in... getting this album perfect for y’all.”
