Foggy Seattle Morning

SMH, 2022 really pulled up on us like "oh you thought 2021 was bad? Hold my beer!"

Last night while checking the weather for the week I noticed fog on my weather app and frankly I thought nothing of it until this morning 🥴 According to KOMO News, the National Weather Service is saying there is a possibility of Air Stagnation this week, AKA poor air quality. See below for more details:

The weather service says a period of stagnant air is expected to develop this week which could result in deteriorating air quality. Poor air quality can cause issues for people with respiratory problems.

State air quality agencies ask that you delay outdoor burning until conditions improve and that residential wood burning use is limited. -KOMO

Me being a curious only child, I decided to Google what causes Air Stagnation:

Air stagnation occurs when two layers of cold air trap a layer of warm air between them. This warm air can then become saturated with pollutants such as car exhaust and chimney smoke. Jason Davis from Lane County Health says this poor air quality can result in many symptoms. - Google

The air stagnation advisory is in effect until noon on Wednesday.
