Can you believe this show is in it’s 9th season? For 9 years we’ve been watching rappers and their loved ones do the most on TV. And personally, I’m ok with it!
The show starts with a voiceover from Joe Budden, which actually gave the show intro the perfect amount of drama. I think the thing I might be interested in most is Rich’s daughters mother might be going to jail. Personally I don’t follow him out of the show, so I’m interested to see how this plays out, hopefully for the better of course.
The things that stuck out to me the most in this episode:
Alexis Skyy, Fetty Wap, & Treyway: GIRRRLLLLL
I usually look to see who’ll be on the show each season, but this time I wanted to be surprised. When Alexis Skyy came on the screen saying she wanted to be a rapper, all I could think of was when she did that diss track last season. Last I checked, even her friend told her that was a no go. But maybe she’s had some lessons over the last year.
The juicy part of the scene isn’t Alexis arguing with Fetty, because according to blogs they still haven’t done the DNA test. The juicy part was Treyway! With him being locked down by the feds with Tekashi 6ix9ine I’m wondering how many episodes he’s going to be on. It’s interesting to see him on the show talking about how he doesn’t want the drama with her and Fetty, while he was sitting in a sea of drama himself. Did you guys see what Treyway said in court "We don't fold, we don't bend, we don't break. It's Tr3yway." And she wants to be the next 69 huh?
Safaree: SIR….
I don’t have much to say about Safaree, besides what everyone else does. If when, Joe, and Rich asked you those questions and you said “No” that never happened. Why couldn’t you do that on Love and Hip Hop Hollywood? I guess he needed a storyline since he decided not to date anyone last season.
Juelz & Kim: What you mean you didn’t know?
So Juelz and Kim are going to have a story that hits home for a lot of people. I’m not sure if he had teeth issues because he was doing drugs, or if he just needed his wisdom teeth out. However he said he got some work done on his teeth, and became addicted to pain killers, which is no joke. Apparently he went to the airport, didn’t know he had a gun in his bag and now he’s in legal troubles. I mean, it’s very possible that he was so drugged up that he didn’t know, but my question is how did it get there?
Juelz now has to make a choice of going taking a plea deal or going to court. So him and Kim Bella are pretty much reliving Yandy’s story over the last few years. Supper sad story, and I hope he can beat the case, but this is New York, so you never know.
Joe and Syn: How could you not Joe?
Their whole storyline will revolve around Joe being too busy to show Syn the attention she needs to feel desired. Personally I’m single and while no kids, so I’ve never experienced that. But it’s seemed to cause a huge dialog online about why men don’t always want to be intimate with their mate over time. Seems to me they’re blaming work, or just pure laziness. Either way, Joe is always a good time on my TV screen so I’m totally here for them being on the show.
All and all, I think this will be a cute season. I’m not sure if it will be as juicy at Love and Hip Hop Hollywood last season, but we will see.
