Prayers are still up for our guy David Ortiz who arrived into Boston late last night after being flow in on a private jet from the Dominican Republic commissioned by the Red Sox. Reports say that Ortiz is still in serious condition after undergoing surgery in his Native country.
Initial report immediately following the shooting of Big Papi were that it was an attempted robbery but those claims were quickly put to rest by Santo Domingo authorities, the city in which he was shot in.
The next rumored reason that authorities investigated was that the shooting was meant for a popular Dominican rapper by the new Secreto who was hanging with Ortiz at the nightclub he was shot at.
But there is now a new, and messy, angle that 3 police sources have confirmed. It's alleged that the shooting all stems from an ongoing beef between David Ortiz and an unnamed Dominican drug lord. What's the beef about? Apparently Ortiz has been having an affair with said drug lords wife for a while and the drug lord then hired and sent ex-police officers to shoot Big Papi.
Now again this is all alleged but news outlets, social media and chat groups have been buzzing that this is REAL reason behind this shooting.
