Matt Lauer Has Been Fired From NBC News

Matt Lauer, anchor of "Today" for almost 30 years, has been fired by NBC News after a complaint about inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace.

"Today" co-anchors Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb announced this morning that a memo was sent to employees on Wednesday morning from NBC News Chairman Andrew Lack that the complaint prompted a serious review and represented a "clear violation of their company's standards."

This was the first public complaint against Lauer for his behavior since he took over as anchor of the show in 1997 but many are saying this is not an "isolated incident."
