I've never been a huge fan of Demi Lovato. I've been apart of many interviews with her, both in person and over the phone, and she's never been great in any of them.
And I get it, we can all have bad days. Bad interactions. Times we aren't the nicest and aren't the most proud of. But after seeing that time and time again with her, I just haven't been a fan.
But her most recent music is.. different. Her sound is more mature and more real. You can tell she's coming from an authentic place.
A friend snapped me earlier in the week saying she was watching Demi's documentary when it came out. I didn't want to watch, but she's pop culture and that's what I do. So I sort of had to watch. And I'm glad I did.
Once you hear her backstory, she just seems more relatable. You start to understand why she is the way she is and can appreciate her struggle, her journey and her success.
From someone who didn't even listen to Demi's whole album when it came out a few weeks ago, you should check out the docu and see how you feel about her after.
